Welcome!
Konnichiwa! Welcome to Katie Kapow Dot Com, my place for blogging, photos and general Kapowing. I’ve been meaning to get this started for a long time but alas, I’m no web guru. Thanks go to Stephen for getting this organized for me.
All the content, graphics, photos, writing and so on are the result of my over active, incessant, art crammed mind (which is currently overflowing and spewing out). My intention for this site is simple: Place work here, get feedback, repeat. I want to master my craft, specifically my photos, for they are what I’m all about. If you know me, you know that. If you don’t know me, and you like what I’m doing here, let me know. I’m happy to network and promote other artists who are also trying to “just make it”.
So here I go time thieving, snapping moments, keeping them for myself and sharing them with you.
Cheers my friends

Just noticed that it’s rather difficult to figure out how to add a comment. You actually have to click on the number that indicates how many comments a post has to leave a comment of your own. Might see if I can fix that. Right now, you don’t have to register with my site to leave a comment, I’m just using captcha. =D
Hey Kate,
I’m glad to see that you found a better outlet for this than Myspace, that was just not the right medium to tell you the truth. And you really found an interesting approach to combining your photography and recent love of blogging as well. I do hope that you also include a feature in the future that describes a bit of your photography on a more technical level, but that is purely so I can geek out as well. Good start though!
Thank you! I’d be happy to geek out and get down and dirty on a technical level once I get more of my photos and content set up here. I was planning on going more in depth explaining my Photoshop techniques in my photo blog, but I’ll be sure to include some f-stops and shutter speeds on my blogs as well. =D
Thanks for visiting and commenting.
Happy launch! I must agree with Tony on this, getting away from MySpace is about the best thing you can do. Glad to see that this project is coming together for you, even if it absurdly pink
.
@Don
Hey, I’m a chick, pink is kinda required. Bahaha!
Funny thing, I have not even been to myspace lately other than to copy some of my old photo blogs. Pretty sure I’ll keep drifting away from it, this is my home now; absurdly pink, absurdly vivid, absurdly me. =D
Cool beans! This is totaly you Kate
More pictures please!
Yay! It let me comment. Sweet
More pictures coming soon, I promise! I will hopefully be uploading about 50 to the gallery by the end of the weekend, if not more.
Hey! Love the site. The more absurdly pink the better, I say! Can’t wait for more pictures. Maybe of me someday? I hope so!
@ Karen
Zeesh! You’d think I’d have taken some of you by now, especially since your my oldest friend. Wow, what a terrible sister in law I am! I’m seeing…photos….of you….in April.
Yup, I looked in my crystal ball and that’s what I saw.
The crystal ball never lies!

Hey, I’m taking this opportunity to let you know: 1) How much I love you. 2) How proud I am of you. and 3) How incredibly talented you are.
Despite wrongs real or imagined, despite judgments of those outside our merry twosome, you’ve shown me in the deepest and most undeniable way how much you love me. I feel confident that circumstances have forged a new and better future than anyone, including us, could have imagined. And all because simple mistakes and the influence of others nearly caved our world in on itself.
So please know that no matter what happens, today, tomorrow, or any day in the future: You were, are, and always will be loved with every fiber, every electron of me. You are the best morning, the most colorful sunset, and the greatest sleep. You are my thrill, my cheerleader, and my muse. You’re a different shade and shape of me, and I can and will never stop loving you.
